The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program known as RSVP, is part of the largest volunteer network for people 55+ called AmeriCorps Seniors. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers use their skills, talents, and life experiences to help meet community needs through service.

RSVP Services & Benefits

  • Volunteer Iowa RSVP connects passionate, dedicated, and skilled volunteers with nonprofits and public organizations.
  • Volunteers help organizations achieve their missions, which in turn improves the quality of life for Iowans.
  • RSVP volunteers support youth, improve access to food, give rides, lead activities for others, assist nonprofits, provide social connection and become Pen Pals with students.

RSVP Locations

RSVP currently serves 15 Iowa counties:

Northwest Iowa: Monona and Woodbury counties
West Central Iowa: Cass, Harrison, Pottawattamie and Shelby counties
Southwest Iowa: Fremont, Mills, Montgomery and Page counties
East Central Iowa: Iowa, Keokuk, Mahaska, Louisa and Poweshiek counties
