One of our primary functions is to work with organizations to help them use service as a strategy to fulfill their mission by engaging volunteers, and ultimately addressing pressing community challenges across Iowa. We do this by:
- connecting organizations with programming that we or our partners fund, and/or
- providing technical assistance on how to better utilize community volunteers to meet the organization's needs

Recruit volunteers
Consider participating in a Day of Service! Service projects focus on, but are not limited to, service areas such as:
- education
- mentoring
- community beautification
- donation collections
People who become involved as one-day volunteers often become great advocates, regular volunteers, and supporters. Our Project Planning Kit will help you develop a successful volunteer project benefiting those in need in your community while honoring a National Day of Service.
