Organizations who could benefit from the assistance of a team of AmeriCorps members providing intensive service on a specific project for six to eight weeks can apply to host an AmeriCorps NCCC team. Often, host sites are asked to help with room, board, or other in-kind supports for the team.

Eligible projects may address disaster, environmental, educational, or human needs. In Iowa, prospective hosts should contact the North Central Regional campus, located at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in Vinton.

How to apply

  • Review the AmeriCorps NCCC sponsor information on the AmeriCorps website.
  • Contact the NCCC North Central campus staff to find out more about the North Central Region and what NCCC teams from that campus can do for your organization.
  • Complete and submit the AmeriCorps NCCC Project concept form, application, or update form, as directed by NCCC staff.
