Are the volunteers responsible for governing the state agency β Volunteer Iowa (or ICVS) β which is responsible for administrating Iowaβs National Service and volunteer programs.
Are empowered by federal and state statutes to set priorities and determine what programs best meet the needs of Iowa.
Are appointed by the Governor to three-year terms that begin on July 1. Every year, a few commissioner positions are available. If you are interested in serving as a Commissioner, you can apply anytime!
